With an M.F.A. in printmaking from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and a love of literature and excellent writing, Glenna Lang began a freelance career in illustration and design over twenty-five years ago. She named her business Twocat Graphics after a couple of her best muses.

Her illustrations have appeared regularly in such publications as the Atlantic Monthly and the Boston Globe, and on covers for David R. Godine, Publisher. She has designed book jackets, posters, brochures, newsletters, and publicity materials for a variety of companies and organizations.

Glenna Lang is the illustrator of five children’s books. For four of these books, she “collaborated” with classic poets of an earlier era and created a visual narrative for their texts. She both wrote and illustrated Looking Out for Sarah. Her distinctive style has been seen as well in many other books, magazines, and newspapers, and she has received numerous awards and honors. Looking Out for Sarah won the first-ever Schneider Family Book Award, presented by the American Library Association, for authors and illustrators for excellence of portrayal of the disability experience in literature for youth.
